The AELL is committed to excellence in the field of Early Care and Education by promoting leadership development and enhancing program quality. I believe the reason for many early learning programs that fail because of the poor leadership. No matter if it is giving a donation or chaperoning on a field trip. My daughter is always excited when I participate in her schools activities.
I would like to partner with them and open up a parent center. NCPIE have at least one parent center in each state that serves families of children and young adults from birth to age 22 with disabilities. They help families obtain appropriate education and services for their children with disabilities and train parents and professionals on a variety of topics.

  1. Erica,
The job opportunities that you choose look interesting. Parent involvement in school is important and I hope that next year as my oldest child starts kindergarten I am able to become involved in his school. I worry that because I work during the school hours I am not going to have the opportunities to be involved. Thank you for sharing these job opportunities and your national organizations.

  2. Hello Erica,
The first organization that you chose sounds really great! Early Learning Leaders, they are committed to advancing or helping to improve the quality of Early Care. There is no better way to do this then to train and improve the leaders and help them to develop the mindset of best practice. I think my dream job would be to present information to trainees. I would love to lead a class and share with the students my experience and help them to improve their skills.

  4. Hello Erica,

In the AELL organization you mentioned the programs closing for poor leadership. I totally agree with that statement. I have scene many of leaders fail because they enter programs with a passion, but the power seems to go to their head and they lose sight of what is important and that is the children and their families. The only way we can push pass this problem is to provide the leadership team with support that will keep them on the right path.
